As a means of promoting a cooperative effort between the alarm companies and the commercial and residential alarm users within the City of Panama City Beach, city officials have enacted Alarm Ordinance 1541.
The initial cost of an intrusion alarm permit is $40.00 and a renewal packet must be filed every year. There is no renewal fee associated with a renewal registration. All fine and permit payments will be made out to the City of Panama City Beach.
**All new permits have an administrative charge of $1.00 when using a credit card.**
(At this time, credit cards can only be accepted at the Police Department and not online)

False alarms at a residential location will receive a warning letter after the first three false alarm notifications within a permit year. Commercial locations will receive a warning letter after the first two false alarm notifications. Once a warning letter has been issued, any subsequent activation of false alarms within a permit year will result in a service fee outlined in Resolution 21-31.

Officials of the City reserve the right to inspect any malfunctioning alarm systems and will provide follow-up support for corrective action as deemed appropriate.
You can register online annually by utilizing the link below. Before registering your alarm, please verify your address is within the City of Panama City Beach Jurisdiction. City limits can be found at https://gis.baycountyfl.gov/pcbe/.
Alarm Companies are authorized to register for their customers; however, an Authorization Form must be on file from the "Alarm User".
