Welcome to the Panama City Beach Fire Rescue page. Our fire rescue and beach safety departments serve the approximately 15,000 residents and 4.5 million visitors to the world's most beautiful beaches each year. We are committed to excellent customer service.

Fire Rescue

Panama City Beach Fire Rescue is an ISO class 2 Advanced Life Support non-transport fire department serving a rapidly growing community. Our department has three fire stations strategically placed on the east, west, and central portions of the city. The shifts are worked on a 48 on and 96 off schedule.

Beach Safety

The Panama City Beach Fire Rescue Department added the Beach Safety division in 2019. Our Beach Safety Programs is staffed with five full-time beach rescue responders and numerous part-time and seasonal staff who monitor the City beaches year round, primarily on a roving as needed basis. Two to Four beach safety responders staff the east and west side of the Russell Fields City Pier from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. between April 1 and September 30.

Fire Inspections

The City of Panama City Beach Fire Inspections Division is comprised of three fire inspectors who are committed to the safety of all businesses, residents, and guests. With safety being our primary focus, the Inspection Division performs annual life safety inspections on all new building construction, building remodels, commercial businesses, and transient rentals within the City. The codes applicable for these inspections are derived from the Florida Fire Prevention Code, national fire codes, and local ordinances.
