The Beach Safety Division of Panama City Beach Fire Rescue has five full-time beach rescue responders and numerous part-time and seasonal staff who monitor the City beaches year round, primarily on a roving as needed basis. Two to four beach safety responders staff the east and west side of the Russell Fields City Pier from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. between April 1 and September 30.
